Practicing Gratitude

We begin each week in my classroom with “Building Character” time.  This year I have started using the very well-done Values site by Pass It On.  Fantastic resources to use for teaching character in the classroom!

This week we are focusing on gratitude (not a surprise with turkey around the corner!).  Our quote of the week is:

“Don’t let what you don’t have make you forget what you do have.  Gratitude turns what we have into enough”.

I love Leah Dietrich’s expressions of gratitude on her blog, THXTHXTHX.  I am not surprised that she now has a book!   Thought you might enjoy these thoughts of thankfulness from a few of my students (we are filling our window with thanksgivings):
